SAINT JOHN, NB – Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME), along with the First Nations Power Authority (FNPA) are hosting an interactive and inclusive New Brunswick advanced Small Modular Reactor (aSMR) Supply Chain Event on behalf of ARC Clean Energy Canada (ARC Canada), Moltex Energy and New Brunswick Power (NB Power).

The event originally scheduled for October 28, 2021, was postponed for health and safety concerns, and will now be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the Saint John Trade and Convention Centre.

In keeping with the event’s primary focus of promoting economic development within the Province of New Brunswick, the theme will be “Generating Benefits for New Brunswick”, with the following objectives in mind:

• Provide progress updates from the advanced SMR cluster
• Promote discussion and networking opportunities
• Educate participants of opportunities, timelines and vision
• Provide a forum for interactive breakout sessions dedicated to:
  • “Fit for SMR”
  • Industry Support
  • Indigenous Partnerships

The daylong event will begin at 9am and will close with a reception from 4pm – 5pm. Doors open at 8:30am for registration.

The event will be co-hosted by CME and FNPA to maximize efforts in connecting with the Indigenous, manufacturing and business communities, with a significant contribution provided by Opportunities New Brunswick (ONB).

Tri-Party members continue to collaborate in areas of supply chain development, shared infrastructure, common fleet services and energy park opportunities, positioning the province as a manufacturing hub that supports the aSMR market.

ÉVÉNEMENT SUR LA CHAÎNE D’APPROVISIONNEMENT DES PRMa NÉO-BRUNSWICKOISE : NOUVELLE DATE JUIN 2022

Saint John (N.-B.) — L’organisation Manufacturiers et Exportateurs du Canada (MEC) se joint à la First Nations Power Authority (FNPA) pour organiser un événement interactif et inclusif sur la chaîne d’approvisionnement des petits réacteurs modulaires avancés (PRMa) au Nouveau-Brunswick. L’événement est organisé au nom d’ARC Clean Energy Canada (ARC Canada), de Moltex Energy et d’Énergie Nouveau-Brunswick (Énergie NB).

Au départ, l’événement devait avoir lieu le 28 octobre 2021, mais il a été reporté pour des raisons de santé et de sécurité. La date est maintenant fixée au mardi 14 juin 2022 au Saint John Trade and Convention Centre.

Conformément à la thématique principale de l’événement, soit promouvoir le développement économique dans la province du Nouveau-Brunswick, le thème sera « Générer des avantages pour le Nouveau-Brunswick », et les objectifs seront les suivants :

• Faire des mises à jour sur le progrès du groupement avancé PRM.
• Promouvoir les occasions de discussion et de réseautage.
• Renseigner les participantes et participants sur les possibilités, les échéanciers et la vision.
• Fournir un forum pour des ateliers interactifs dédie à :
  • « Approprié pour un PRM » Industrie
  • Soutien à l’industrie
  • Partenariats avec les communautés autochtones

L’évènement commencera à 9 h et se terminera par une réception de 16 h à 17 h. Les portes s’ouvriront à 8 h 30 pour les inscriptions.

L’événement sera organisé conjointement par MEC et la FNPA afin de maximiser les efforts visant à tisser des liens avec les communautés autochtones, le secteur manufacturier et le secteur des affaires. Opportunités Nouveau‑Brunswick (ONB) aussi apportera aussi d’importantes contributions.

Le groupe tripartite du Nouveau-Brunswick continue de travailler ensemble au développement de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, le partage de l’infrastructure, les services de parcs de véhicules communs et les possibilités de parc énergétique, positionnant la province comme carrefour manufacturier servant de base au marché des PRMa.
